Nick Butler is a Canadian filmmaker based in New York.
Lunar Sway is his second feature. His first, The Legacy of Cloudy Falls, received a limited theatrical release in Canada in 2025. Both films received funding from Telefilm Canada. Previously, he has written and directed several short films that have screened at over thirty international film festivals including Maryland, Newport Beach and Provincetown. He also has extensive experience in casting including on Alexander Payne's "Downsizing", HBO's "Euphoria", Nathan Fielder's "The Rehearsal", Guillermo Del Toro's "Crimson Peak" among others.
