After a humiliating public outburst lands her in court-mandated community service, Sally Babesmilk becomes fixated on reclaiming the plaque honoring her legacy as Guam’s first female jet ski instructor. What follows is an increasingly absurd and theatrical attempt to restore her sense of greatness.
Babesmilk is a guerrilla comedy shot on location, featuring Chamorro and local performers from the islands of Guam, Samoa, Fiji, Saipan, and Chuuk.

Elisha Mlotek’s work has screened internationally at festivals including Palm Springs International ShortFest, Hawai‘i International Film Festival, Women Make Waves International Film Festival (Taiwan), New/Next Film Festival, and San Diego Asian Film Festival, where his co-written dramedy Myself When I Am Real won Best Narrative Short. The film was also nominated for Best U.S. Short Film at Palm Springs and Best Short Film at Hawai‘i. Elisha is an experimental comedy filmmaker and performer, as well as a gold-certified (RIAA) songwriter on JID’s “Dance Now.” He teaches film studies at the University of Maryland Global Campus.

Between picturesque bars, collapsing apartments, and unlikely encounters, her path crosses with Onça, a young man adrift through the night. When dawn reaches the square, the two discover that even in a world on the brink of ending, it is still possible to choose — if only for a moment — not to be alone.
